In Which Month Should Maternity Photos Be Taken?

The best month for a maternity photoshoot is between the 7th and 8th month of pregnancy (28–34 weeks). At this stage, your baby bump is well defined, and you still feel comfortable enough to pose and move around.

Choosing the right color enhances your look:

  • Light colors: White, blush, sky blue, ivory – perfect for soft, dreamy looks

  • Bold tones: Emerald, royal blue, burgundy – great for statement photos

  • Earthy colors: Olive, mustard, beige – ideal for outdoor locations

Avoid busy patterns or neon shades. We offer wardrobe styling guidance as part of our maternity photography packages.

Newborn Photography FAQ

Looking to capture the first precious days of your baby’s life? As trusted specialists in newborn photography in Bangalore, we’ve compiled the most asked questions to guide you through planning a beautiful and safe newborn photoshoot experience.

When Is the Best Time for a Newborn Photoshoot?

The ideal time to do a newborn baby photoshoot is between 5 to 15 days after birth. During this window, your baby is sleepier and more flexible, making it easier to pose them safely and beautifully.

Why Are Newborn Photos Taken So Early?

Babies are easiest to photograph when they are very young—under 15 days old—because they naturally curl up like in the womb and sleep deeply. This makes it easier to pose them safely for those adorable curled-up shots.

Is 1 Month Old Too Late for Newborn Photos?

While the best time is within 15 days, we can still do adorable baby photoshoots up to 1 month. After 30 days, the baby tends to stay more alert and stretches out, so we shift the style to more awake or wrapped-up lifestyle sessions.

Is Newborn Photography Safe for My Baby?

Yes! At Camories, baby safety is our highest priority. Our team is trained to handle and pose babies safely, with sanitised props, warm lighting, and a temperature-controlled environment. We always follow baby-led posing—never forcing any uncomfortable position.

Safety is our #1 priority. At Camories:

  • All props are sterilized before each session

  • Our photographers are trained in baby handling
